Scholarship Alert (January 2026): The Gujarat Government has taken a historic step to support girl education. Under the Namo Lakshmi Yojana, every eligible girl student studying in Class 9 to 12 will receive a total financial assistance of ₹50,000 directly in her bank account.

💖 Important Note: The monthly amount depends on your Attendance. You must be regular in school to receive the full ₹500 or ₹750 monthly installment.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Gender: Only Girl students are eligible.
- Residency: Must be a student in Gujarat.
- Income: Family annual income must be less than ₹6,00,000 (6 Lakhs). This covers most middle-class families.
- School Board: Available for GSEB and CBSE schools (Govt, Aided, and Private).

- Aadhaar Card of the Student.
- Bank Passbook (Student’s own account linked with Aadhaar).
- Income Certificate (Awak no Dakhlo) of parents.
- Mobile Number (Linked to bank).
- Parivar Olakh Patra (Family ID – if applicable).
📝 How to Apply Online?
Attention: Students cannot register themselves individually on the website. The registration is done via your School.
- Step 1: Go to your School Office or Class Teacher.
- Step 2: Ask for the “Namo Lakshmi Registration Form”.
- Step 3: Submit your Aadhaar and Bank details to the school.
- Step 4: The School Nodal Officer will upload your data on the Namo Payments Portal.
- Step 5: Once approved, you will receive an SMS, and the money will be deposited via DBT.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is this scheme only for Government School students?
Ans: No! Students from Private and Grant-in-Aid schools are also eligible if they meet the income criteria.
Q2: What if I fail in Class 11?
Ans: You will not receive the scholarship for the repeat year. You must pass to continue receiving benefits.
Q3: Can Science stream students apply?
Ans: Yes! In fact, Science students can also apply for the “Namo Saraswati Yojana” (extra ₹25,000) along with this scheme.
